Northeast Yucai School

This morning the chaperones caught the 7am school bus to the Northeast Yucai School, our sister school in China. Our yellow school buses pale in comparison to the luxury buses that pick up these children.

20120618-143703.jpgOur commute took about an hour as we traveled to the Hunnan Campus of the Yucai School. The school has eight campuses around Shenyang and it is the top school in the province. High school students live on the campus five days per week.

20120618-144006.jpg We arrived and immediately met up with our students. All seemed in fine form after their first night with their host families. We were greeted by a welcome sign in Chinese and English.

20120618-144243.jpg We toured the campus and saw fabulous facilities that rival our own at Episcopal. Yucai balances traditional classes with electives in the arts, engineering, robotics, health, and agriculture.
