Driving in China

One of the classrooms we visited today was for driver’s education.

Let me tell you, it is a very good thing that driver’s education begins in a simulator. Driving in China is a death-defying experience that can best be described as a giant game of chicken. Everyone plays including drivers, bicyclers, moped riders, pedestrians, and even the occasional donkey cart. Even sitting in the front seat of the bus can be like a scary amusement park ride. I am thankful that we have had professional drivers that we could trust with our lives. Truth be told, we have not seen a single accident or even any dents on cars.
